Author's Biography

"I have pursued a creative life since leaving school in 1967. I have always found space to paint, write poetry, and earn bread and butter money. The life of the penniless artist and poet!! My late wife, a writer, designer, and journalist, gave me the intellectual space to do this. I published my first edition of "Extinct Dream," an epic poem hand-written in 1982, in 2015 after retirement, and I look forward to The Regency Press Edition and Audiobook in late 2022.

The book reflects my background in many ways. A Polish father, Jan, and an English mother, Barbara Joan, travel to Aden 1958-60, Penang, Malaysia 1963-65, Australia 1967-69, and Italy, Poland, and L.A. in later life. I had four one-person art shows from 1983-86 in London. One brother. Our father escaped Poland in 1939 and flew in WW2 in the Polish Air Force and afterward in the Royal Air Force until 1968. He also flew in the Berlin Air Lift for one and a half years. He lived to 101 years. Our mother was an artist, too, in her retirement. I was at art college from 1969-1974, including a teaching year. After 43 years in London, I am retired near the sea."
